Jimmy Moffett | Managing Director, Client Advisor

Jimmy Moffett is a Managing Director at Hightower Texas, focused primarily on ultra-high-net-worth families.

During his career, Jimmy has worked in sales, action sports and banking. In 2011, Jimmy joined Salient and in 2018, Hightower acquired Salient’s private wealth management business to become Hightower Texas. Before joining the Family Office group as an analyst, he worked with Salient’s Chief Investment Officer on an outsourced CIO client. Since then, Jimmy has worked alongside Matt Newtown and has focused on portfolio management.

Jimmy earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University. He holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses. Jimmy is active in the community and previously served as President of the Rice Business School Alumni Association and is a guest lecturer at Rice University.

When he’s not buried in an Excel spreadsheet, Jimmy enjoys building LEGOs with his son, water skiing, wake surfing and golfing.
