Matthew Summers | Managing Director, Client Advisor

Matthew Summers is a Managing Director at Hightower Texas, where he directs the development, creation, and execution of custom wealth plans for high and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, foundations and endowments.

In 2011, Matthew joined Salient and in 2018, Hightower acquired Salient’s private wealth management business to become Hightower Texas. Previously, he worked for RDG Capital, LLC, a Houston-based registered investment advisor. Prior to that, he worked in investment banking at both Houlihan Lokey and Growth Capital Partners.

Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond and a Master of Science in Accounting from Southern Methodist University. Matthew holds the FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses, and is licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance as a Life Insurance Agent.

Matthew currently serves as a member of the St. John's School Quadrangle Committee. He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Houston Center for Literacy. Matthew is training for his first marathon with the goal of achieving a Boston Marathon qualifying time. He loves vacationing on the beach or in the mountains, and resides in Houston with his wife, Alicia; his sons, Grant, Brett and Reid; and his dog, a Great Dane named Peach.
