Stephen Gunter | Tax Manager, Family Office
Stephen Gunter is a Tax Manager at Hightower Texas. He brings nearly 40 years of experience in tax management, preparation and coordination to the team.
Stephen focuses on tax management for our Family Office clients. His responsibilities include reviewing tax returns for trusts, partnerships and corporations, tax planning and coordinating tax preparation efforts with CPA firm.
In 2017, Stephen joined Salient and in 2018, Hightower acquired Salient’s private wealth management business to become Hightower Texas. Prior to Salient, Stephen served for 18 years as the Tax Manager of various wealth management advisory firms. He also has 14 years of experience working with CPA firms, real estate and the oil and gas industry.
One day, Stephen would love to retire in a small town in Texas where he can hunt and fish at his leisure. Until then, he will continue to help his daughter with her church group.
Stephen earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Lamar University.
